I applaud them for this and Excalibur will probably be epic. Even changing map when I'm setting game up causes crash. The Star Trek Excalibur team (if youre not familiar with it, look them up) are writing their own engine and have been at it for a good five years and are probably only about half way there. I got crash / black screen immediately when I press LAUNCH button. Honestly, for me that isn't such a big deal, because game actually "remembered" changes I've done there (resolution, graphics detail)!īut, big issue is trying to play INSTANT ACTION (multiplayer section, single player - no missions). However, changing settings in the graphics menu causes crash. Now, far as I can tell I can play missions, no problems with textures, grid, models etc.
Message The host of this game has been lost. It features a 20 mission campaign as well as a multiplayer for up to 8 players. I've installed game, than applied 1.2 and 1.3 patches and than Elisha's fix and even fix update. This game is a real time strategy game set in the Star Trek universe, telling the story of four factions, the Borg, Federation, Klingon and Romulans, who fight each other for different reasons. Secondly, I'd like to report issue myself. First of all, thank you Elisha ( for effort regarding playing Star Trek Armada 1 on modern systems! After all this time, I believe many people still want to play this 20-year old game, even on Win10! In my opinion, far better game than its sequel (Star Trek Armada 2).
